1耶和華吩咐摩西說

The Lord said to Moses 

2頭生的要分別為聖歸我  

Consecrate to me all the firstborn

以色列中凡頭生的

among the people of Israel 

無論是人是牲畜 

both of man and of beast

都是我的

is mine  

3摩西對百姓說

Moses said to the people

你們要記念從埃及為奴之家出來的這日

Remember this day in which you came out from Egypt 

因為耶和華用大能的手將你們從這地領出來 

for by a strong hand the Lord brought you out from this place.  

有酵之物都不可吃

No leavened bread shall be eaten 

4亞筆月的這一日你們走出來了

Today, in the month of Abib, you are going out 

5將來耶和華領你進迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、希未人、耶布斯人之地

when the Lord brings you into the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites

就是他向你祖宗起誓應許給你的那流奶與蜜之地

which he swore to your fathers to give you, a land flowing with milk and honey 

那時你要在這一個月守這禮儀 

you shall keep this service in this month

6你要吃無酵餅七日

Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread 

在第七日要向耶和華守節

and on the seventh day there shall be a feast to the Lord 

7這七日之內

for seven days

要吃無酵餅

Unleavened bread shall be eaten

在你的全境內不可見有酵之物

no leaven shall be seen with you in all your territory

也不可見酵母no leavened bread shall be seen with you

8當那日

on that day

你要告訴你的兒子說

You shall tell your son

這樣做是因為耶和華在我出埃及的時候為我所做的事

It is because of what the Lord did for me when I came out of Egypt

9這要在你手上作記號

it shall be to you as a sign on your hand

在你額上作紀念as a memorial between your eyes

使耶和華的教導常在你口中

that the law of the Lord may be in your mouth

因為耶和華用大能的手將你從埃及領出來

For with a strong hand the Lord has brought you out of Egypt

10所以你每年要按著日期守這條例

You shall therefore keep this statute at its appointed time from year to year
